Prepaid vrs. Contract

I would like to know why prepaid service doesn't get the same respect at contract cellular service in regard to features (call blocking) that make Verizon service more tolerable. Other cellular providers are offering free call blocking but Verizon want me to pay to block robo calls I never agreed to receive from their service. Make me think I need to start looking at other providers, Verizon does not have my interests in heart. This is why I dont do free phone offers (S9) or contracts...sickening really...

Verizon haven't had 2 year contracts on consumer postpaid since January 2017, I dunno where this talk of contracts came from.

It's also well known prepaid services don't have the best support because they're cheap. You don't get premium service at dirt cheap prices anywhere.

Really ? What would u call locked in for 2 years while u pay a higher plan price for that new free phone. 1  phone and dont need multiple lines. I bring my own device so I dont have to deal with Branded Bloat Ware that's difficult to shut down or remove. I boot 2 to 3 times faster. I'm up in under 22 seconds. Personally I dont think any service is inexpensive considering all the phones in service. Look to EU for state of the art technology and priceing. US is a dinosaur by comparison, excluding billing...that's top noch!

Then switch to another carrier. You can activate a phone you purchased yourself on a postpaid or prepaid account from any other provider as long as the phone is compatible with that network.

No such thing as a free phone either. Promotions that say free still charge the regular retail amount only you get a credit each month to offset it.

A contract is 2 years typically of commitment to service with an early termination fee if broken prematurely. A device payment is that, your equipment.

You can pay off your phone at any time, you're not locked into anything. That's how postpaid works.
