I have experienced a decrease in signal at my house while using my LTE MIFI (4G) or USB connection (3G) to the point that it takes minutes for a page to load. I have been unable to effectively use my PC for internet search this month. I have a 16 GB data plan and rarely come near using it on any previous month. However, a few days ago, I had switched to the USB to see if it would connect better and found that it would not. I closed all browsers and went to work thinking that I had turned off the connection. Within the next 8 hours it had used 5.5 GB of data which will cause me to exceed my allowance.
How is it possible for the USB to burn that much data when no browsers (or other internet based programs for that matter) were running? Verizon's response was to suggest that I purchase the "new unlimited data" plan which will cost me approximately $60 more each month. I would almost consider doing that except the reception is so poor lately that I wouldn't be able to use it.
Your thoughts?

Our internet and phone service has become horrible over the last 2 months. We just get a runaround from Verizon saying we're in a bad area. We haven't changed anything except going to unlimited. We get dropped calls now, lousy or no internet connection, and no decent explanation for the new problems. After almost 20 years with Verizon, I will not recommend you to anyone. We will try to switch carriers, but we are in a rural area. Am interested in a class action lawsuit to find out what they are doing to customers. Again, nothing has changed on our part. Verizon's response to my getting another carrier was basically "go ahead".

I'm having the same issue. Cant even use hotspot on my phone and all data seems sky rocket. Some how I used 4 gb in the first 2 days of my bill cycle. I tried to use my hotspot for most of it when it would work. But my Verizon says 0 hotspot data used. I'm already at like 12 gb somehow in 5 days and last month I used like 21 for the whole month. I'm from Michigan and about 30 minutes from Canada. I just read an article in the local paper saying that Verizon customers have been experiencing bad phone service cause the fcc told Verizon to turn there towers down do to Canadian customers having issues with the radio frequency over there. I didn't read the whole article but I guess they are trying to figure it out so we shall see. I'm disappointed cause I was with Verizon for like 15 years and then I had an issue with a customer service rep and told her fine I'm sick of paying the high prices and going to Sprint. She stated ok have a good day and never tried to stop me. Sprint was ok but way cheaper. I just came back to Verizon cause their service was good when I left just to much money. Now I'm paying the same as I did for sprint and the service seems to suck and data seems to be double. I was on my sprint phone a lot more watching videos and streaming them to my smart tv and would hit like 25 gb in a month. I don't even do that on Verizon and I'm hitting the same gb

DPSPRINGS, let's get your data speeds back to what they should be. When did you notice the change in speeds? Where is this happening to you? What does anyone else experience there?
