When I get a voice mail I go to the icon and when it opens it shows an error message. "Unfortunately, Voice Mail has stopped" What does this mean and how can I correct it?

I know I rely on my messages every day. It's important to know who has tried to reach you. I want to make sure you can rely on this. When did you start having this trouble? Which icon do you select on te phone to access this?
