Husband got a call from 520-993-0123 (Arizona) claiming to be a Verizon rep. Informed him that his phone will be disconnected. Press 1 to be transferred for assistance. He hung up and told me as I'm the primary account holder. Called Verizon and spoke with really nice tech/CS rep who confirmed that Verizon would contact me via email and/or text re any lines/phones that will need to be updated/replaced. Both husband and son are still on flip phones (their choice!) that only go up to 3G. So we are aware that these phones will need to eventually be replaced. BE AWARE and WAIT FOR NOTIFICATION FROM VERIZON!
It should be obvious it wasn't Verizon, especially when it takes a few seconds to Google search the correct 800 numbers. I'm shocked people fall for this..
