There's no such thing as a senior discount in the sense of a traditional discount. It's a reduction on the most basic unlimited plan which costs more than the cheapest data package seniors typically are on.
Our account has it and I'm in Arizona. It costs more than our old 2GB plan we were on before.

Verizon went from a FL only 55+ plan to having the same thing rebranded as "55+ Loyalty" in other states (if available) to a discount on Start Unlimited (if available).
With Verizon copying Tmobile all the time, they could have least done the 55+ thing right with making it nationwide
I am in Michigan and I had this discount for over 6 months. when I added a line and was told I could also add my Student discount. The Verizon Rep was wrong I lost the discount and my bill is inflated. I called Verizon and it has been sent to a higher up to be addressed. I cannot believe that Verizon does not know about plan discounts and plans. I was on the phone for 3 hours and sent an email to corporate as this is not what you do to a paying customer that merely added a line and got the shaft.
Verizon still will not switch my plan back to 55+ Unlimited for 2 lines $80. I have been calling in since they said I could add my student discount to get an extra $25 off a month which was a lie. My bill has been $45 higher for 2 months because they do not know how to fix it. Yesterday they said they will file paperwork to get the student discount taken off this is the 4th time they said that still nothing has been done. I am currently not working and cannot afford this increase all because verizon misinformed me. I filed a complaint to the BBB and FCC as I need a solution and some credits as this could all have been avoided if verizon would of known you cannot stack the discount with the 55 plus plan. They cannot give me a timeframe when this will be fixed it happened on March 2nd 2021 I was alerted on mt email change of service and I owed $40 to be paid immediately. After several calls and chats to verizon nothing has been done. I am looking to see if there is a better deal for service somewhere else as verizon will not fix their mess up.
