I got a nasty email today saying my bill was overdue and DUE IMMEDIATELY. So I went into my banking and issued a payment for the full amount (which is the next payment as well) and sent it today. It will arrive in 2 days. But I got another email from Verizon demanding money again so I tried to call. Oh, if you want to talk to someone, they charge $7 more! So I hung up. I tried live chat. An hour later, no one has answered.
If I acted like that to a client at work, I would be fired. The only time Verizon is nice to you is when they want to sell you a phone. I can't even remember when I've ever paid late, but I missed this one. I knew I'd have to pay some late fee, but to be harrassed and told it was sent to collections?? Seriously Verizon? What a bunch of wiseguys you are. Ever think about sending me a mesage saying "Hey, we see you're late on your payment. Is everything okay? Please contact us if you're experiencing financial diffiulties or to discuss an incoming payment." I've been a customer for over 10 years, and I just got 2 new phones, which drove up my bill, and THIS IS HOW YOU ACT???? I went ahead and paid online so now when you get my double payment, are you going to pay me interest? HA! Makes me so dang mad I might pay whatever exit fees just to get to a company that knows what customer service is.

1) You only get charged $7 if they take a payment.
2) Verizon doesn't send collections notices from a simple paste-due balance. You have to be outstanding for weeks before that's possible.
You're leaving details out.
