I just came to Verizon from another carrier due to their promotion on getting up to $1000 to trade in your phone and up to $500 to switch from another carrier to Verizon.
I’m now learning that the switch to Verizon $500 prepaid card will not be given because I did not incur any early termination or phone payoff fees with my prior carrier.
I’m not understanding why that’s the case? If Verizon doesn’t have to pay the prior carrier wouldn’t they just pay me as an incentive to switch to them? That’s what I assumed would happen but it’s not. 😕
