I recently bought my wife a certified preowned iPhone 8 and we switched her sim card from her existing iPhone 6s to the 8. Since then, while some of the phone functionality works, she regularly misses calls (they never ring through to her phone) and she gets random texts multiple times—recently she got the same text 7 times. Like many these days, she is working from home and depends on her phone regularly to help support pharma studies aimed at COVID. She needs her phone service to be dependable.
I've heard of others having similar problems, and Verizon did some sort of "reset" on their end and it cleared things up. Others have said they've needed to replace the sim card. The problem is, I can't get through to a Verizon rep (the "online assistant" knocking me out of the queue) and the stores are closed.
Has anyone had a similar problem? Or does anyone know how to get through to Verizon for help?
Thanks for any tips.
