OK a lil complicated but not really.
I have a Home connect Verizon phone that stinks. It's upgrade is free but I do not want to switch to a crappy flip phone. The quality is just not there. And the Home connect is a crummy option. I want touch dailing for the kids. The home connect requires local calls across the street have to dial area code which upsets me.
My Wife has a Iphone 4S that is upgradable.
What I'd like to do is get her a new Iphone 5 (or Galaxy 4S) and use the old Iphone 4S as a home phone with no data plan replacing our old "home connect" verizon appliance.
The 4S is in great shape why not use it? The home connect is glitchy and I want to retire the LAN line type phone connected to the Home connect that is slowly malfunctioning.

Hello Boyaa12
I would be happy to address these issues. I'm sorry the iPhone 4s does require a data plan to be activated on our network. The device contantly checks the internet for updates for software and apps. I want you to love the home phone connect! What issues were you experiencing?

Here in GA, we have had to dial a 10 digit to call next door for years.
