Thanks, I'll have GPS on my Adnroid Smartphone through Net10. One of my friends uses it all the time it works great. I know this isn't for everyone but I think it will work for me. I know several people who have switched from Verizon and are way happier. I just don't think that we should be punished for being loyal customers by being pushed into contracts and unaffordable data plans. If I find that its not working for me I can switch at any time because I won't be under a contract.

I hope it does, indeed, work out for you.  And if it doesn't, like you said, you can then try something else since you won't be under contract.

I will say right now, the Comcast deal is for 6 months and you must sign up for 12 months. So, the last six months will be $100/month and you will have agreed to it. (It could be a 12/24 contract also)

Data is unlimited, but with a limit that has your speed cut to ????

UPDATE, just looked at Net10, here is the plan..

  • Adds Unlimited talk, text/picture messaging, web/email and calls to 411 automatically every month
  • Adds 30 Days of Service every month
  • Only $45/month
  • Enroll using your Credit or Debit Card
  • No Cancellation Fees
  • No Carry Over Benefits

Unlimited web is totally different than unlimited data.

And heck, what I found was a $45/month plan......

Enjoy your new service....

You can bring a phone from like Craiglist or Ebay and keep your unlimited data with VZW

In my area that is just Comcast's price its not a promotion. Its their triple play package since I already have my TV through them. My Dad's had the triple play package for 5 years and his price hasn't gone up. Plus when Comcast does raise their prices they work with their loyal costomers which Verizon will not. Since I'll have WiFi I don't think I'll be using as much data as I do now, I won't have to worry about being charged to go over my data limit. I'm not saying this will work for everyone but I think it will work for me. I just want people to realize that their are options out there because I haven't been impressed with Verizon's customer service. I don't want someone's old phone from ebay or craigslist, I'd rather have a brand new tablet.

Many phones sold on Ebay are new...Good luck

Be sure to read the restrictions on the Comcast site. The rules are not specific to any area, but for their service area.

Just to clarify. This was a quote from  Mr P to me in another thread.

Hey OP can we be real for a second.

Customers that use the unlimited as their sole source of internet is the type of customers verizon can afford to lose.

Do some more math, maybe you can factor in the ETF and start saving today!

Obviously this message wasn't supposed to addressed to me so I am going

through and letting you know that I am going to forward this on to you and

then I am going to delete it out of my box because I do not need this

e-mail and this stuff is pretty important for nobody else to read so I will

delete. Thanks.
