Time to leave verizon?

So, I've heard these commercials over and over from AT&T about how existing customers now get the same deals as customers that switch or add lines... it got me thinking - I'm finally at a point where my 6 lines (5 phones and an apple watch) are all out of contract.  I chatted with VZW customer service to confirm that and told them I was considering switching carriers because all my phones are pretty old and other carriers have better deals... the agent on the chat session said something to the effect of "yep, i understand that" and sent me a link to use when i switch carriers so all my numbers move over!  They didn't even try to retain my business.  How odd.

Now, has anyone heard if Verizon will be doing something like AT&T where their existing customers get the same deals as new customers?

Telling a rep you're switching doesn't work since they can't do anything about pricing. If I called your place of work and asked for something outside of what you could, does it still seem odd? That energy should be used towards corporate and marketing since they dictate who gets what deals.

Unless you have a special plan, there is no reason to stay with a specific carrier. Do know you'd also be taking a hard credit check and commitment with another carrier than may provide worst service. A carrier's job is to provide service, they make nothing on hardware. The new line offers are there to attract customers for the service more than the phone itself.

Think TMobile may have similar offer as far as I can tell Verizon is not offering existing customers deal Like new customer offers

I’m leaving Verizon and switching to T mobile. Verizon doesn’t appreciate their long term customers. I’ve been one for over 20 years. Too bad they have trash customer service now, poor service and charge you fraudulent charges.  I can’t even make a phone call in my front yard anymore. I tried calling 911 and the fire department and I had 1 bar LTE. Couldn’t call. I had a fire on my electrical line. I had to run to my neighbors house like it was 1980 and have them call.  Unacceptable. Maybe they’ll wake up after a good portion of their dedicated customers leave.

I buy my phones out right from best buy.  No worries about monthly payments, discounts for BOGO or freephones, works for me.  You couldn't pay me to go back to T-mobile and their customer service that didn't help with my problem while trying them out so after a month came back to verizon and didn't have the issue I was having that t-mobile couldn't figure out on their phone, soured me with them.
