I am currently on my parents' family plan. There are three lines; mine, my Mom's and my Dad's.
My wife is in a similar situation being on a plan with her Mother and Sister.
We want to transfer our lines off of their accounts and open our own accounts.
Is this possible? Are there any fees? Can we keep our current phone numbers?
And also, do our parents need to be present for this to happen as none of us live in the same area.
Also, as far as phone upgrades, would we be considered "new" customers or would our upgrade status remain the same? For instance, my line currently isn't eligible for an upgrade until 02/13.
