I have 1 year left in my 2-year contact on my iPhone 6 Plus. Can I upgrade at full retail price and keep my old phone? I just wanted to be sure once I obtain the new phone that I could sell my current phone (the iPhone 6 Plus which will become my old phone).
I did a search but didn't see a clear explanation for this (if I missed this I apologize).

Yes, I plan to buy the new iPhone. So you are saying the old iPhone is mine to sell?

It's yours to sell, but keep in mind IF you fail to fulfill your contract and leave Verizon without paying the ETF, the new owner of the phone could end up with a useless phone when Verizon disables it due to your failure to fulfill your contract.

I plan to stay with Verizon. I just did the full retail upgrade through the Verizon website and it didn't ask me to trade in my old phone. I just hate that the website doesn't spell out these little details.

If you upgrade at full retail, you don't have to trade in your old phone.
