Using Foreign SIM card in 4g LTE Phones

I have a Nokia Lumia 822 and Samsung ATIV Odyseey, both 4G LTE phones.  I am traveling to Europe and would like to use a local SIM card (from France).  Is there anything I need to do other than insert the foreign SIM?  It is a 3G SIM card from France.  I read somewhere that all Verizon 4G LTE phones come unlocked so it can be used with any SIM - is that correct?

Hey misha11!

A vacation sounds great right about now. But, I guess I'll have to live vicariously through you. Anyways, you bring up a great question I'm happy to expand upon.

Now, I definitely wish it were this easy. However, you'll need to check in to make sure you're eligible to utilize a local SIM given your standing as a customer and with your device. To do so, please contact our global support team directly at 908-559-4899.
