VERIZON BOGO FRAUD, BAIT AND SWITCH???

Has anybody else run into this type of situation?

In July 2018 I contacted Verizon regarding updating my phone.  I’d been with Verizon for 4 years and my phone was obsolete.

The sales rep offered me a BOGO on the Pixel 2. The second phone was for my wife who I was bringing over from T-Mobile.  I accepted and signed the contract. This was on Saturday July 21st.  The phones arrived and were activated on Tuesday July 24th.

I’ve called Verizon at least 8 times trying to get the BOGO straightened out as they keep billing me for both phones.  The last call I made (January 2019) I was told that the BOGO had been denied because the BOGO offer expired on Sunday July 22nd.  The sales rep made no mention of this during the sales transaction.

Saturday July 21st – contract signed.

Tuesday July 24th – phones received and activated.

Sunday January 6th – customer service informed me that the BOGO offer expired Sunday July 22nd and that because the phones were not activated until the day I received them that I did not qualify for the BOGO.

Shady business practices?  I think so.
