It has been 2 weeks since Verizon has changed my grandfathered unlimited data plan from 2008. I have called 5 times, each time staying on the phone for 50 minutes or longer each time. And still it is not fixed. Also each time I call they try to get me to change my plan to the new Unlimited plan that is not unlimited at all. I feel ilke this is fraud, does'nt a commpany need permission to change something that you are paying for. Is it me or has anyone else been hassled over and over to change their plan. I have been a customer for along time, and this is the first time i've ever started looking at other phone companies.

Why did Verizon remove your gUDP? Did you buy a new phone at a store? If you did, you have 14 days to return the device and file an inactive pricing request. You face an uphill battle though as Verizon is really trying to get rid of gUDP plans.

Plan changes don't suddenly happen. Considering you can't do anything without a pin to verify, you had to have been involved making a change on the account.

Reason why new unlimited plans have slow downs are because of the people treating mobile data like it's home internet -- it was never made for that and congestion is real.

You are not under any contract, and if Verizon decides they don’t want to continue your legacy plan that is their right. You also have the right to stop doing business with them.

If you click on Customer Agreement way at the bottom of the web page it will confirm Verizon has the right to change or terminate your plan or prices.

Which is why I cannot wait for TMobile and Sprint to merge, so they can introduce 5G and shake the wireless industry again. Maybe then Verizon will allow gUDP users to upgrade to 5G without the $10 fee just like when TMobile was the first to introduce the no contracts and Verizon and AT&T followed suit. It took a little while for Verizon to allow gUDP users to do the device payment plans also, but now we can also so there is no actual benefit to upgrading to those new "unlimited" plans. No one talks on the phone anymore, so minutes are irrelevant to most people. There is a little trick with wi-fi calling through the verizon app as you can make calls and not get charged minutes, so essentially I do have "unlimited" minutes even though on paper I do not.

Just an FYI, Wifi calling is just another way to call through the network.  Which means you use minutes just as you always did.  Same rules for when they do and don’t count.

Incorrect. I do not get charged when using Wi-Fi calling. I’m also mid billing cycle and no minutes used.

Verizon, can you hear me now? Ha ha ha
