I turned on my Verizon Jetpack today for wireless connectivity while I drove my car to the pharmacy. For the first time ever, though, I had over half a dozen text messages from the Trump Campaign! Now only Verizon and I have access to that phone number, so the only way the Trump Campaign would have been able to text me would be if Verizon provided that number to the Trump Campaign. I have never been so outraged by a company's utter lack of respect for user privacy in my life! This is my third and most public attempt to contact Verizon on this issue. I've been ignored and hung up on by Verizon, so I am hoping this gets a clear and very public response. My next step is to start contacting the Democratic National Committee and blasting this news out on Social Media. Verizon cannot be allowed to get away with this outrageous behavior on the day of the First Presidential Debate! You can be sure that the timing was no coincidence!

If you don't want any text messages sent to the Jetpack device, sign into your MyVerizon account online for that line or the account owner's line and block all text messages for the Jetpack line.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

It might also be possible that the number associated with the Jetpack belonged to someone else before you who had been signed up for those messages.

Numbers are all recycled these days. HUMs, tablets, jetpacks, watches etc are typically former phone lines. Not everything is a Trump conspiracy you know.
A more productive solution is to either block texts or do a number change.
