Verizon NOT willing to bargin
FutureATnTcustomer

I have been a Verizon customer for years. Their customer sales service is less than satisfactory, online is even worse. The good news is that I have waited patiently for my Verizon contract to finally expire! YAY!! That day has come! Now I have given Verizon a fair chance to sell me a new phone at the same price as a big box type store, I have even offered to lock myself into anoter 2 year contract with Verizon, IF they would sell me the phone at the lower price. We are talking one hundred dollars folks. Verizon online; "can't modify on line prices"!! Firm! no way! Ever. So I call customer support, "NO", it can't be done, no way. Even though Verizon DID offer that very same phone one hundred dollars less just last month.Verizon tells me to "go to that big box store and buy that phone there". Really? I ask. But I want to buy it from Verizon, I explaine. Nope. No Can do, states the sales rep as well as her supervisor. BAD way to run a business I think. Now, of course I will consider my other options, with another company because Verizon sure don't want my business!! Who needs a new 2 year contract anyway? Not me!!!!

They give you a "deal". Then, you come to this same forum bragging about that deal and now they have a plethora of phone calls wanting that same deal. All, by the way, because they went against their policies. The very policies you were aware of when you spoke with them.

Call your cable or satellite provider and see how well that "deal" goes over with them.

Acknowledging your screen name, AT&T would have told you the same thing.  The only carrier that I know of that does that kind of wheeling and dealing is T-Mobile.
