The worst thing about this plane is the $40 per month to use a smartphone. Verizon should charger you only about $10 per phone or devise. Who cares what devise you use it still use's the same amount of data.

Here's a chart of the new plan numbers:  http://solutions.vzwshop.com/shareeverything/pdf/verizon_share_everything_plan_details.pdf

And a handy calculator:  http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/splash/shareEverythingCalculator.jsp

I currently pay $200 a month for 5 phones, 1400 minutes, 2 smartphones (1 2GB plan, 1 unlimited), unlimited texting and a 15% discount on voice plan portion and my data.  Plugging in our typical minutes and usage, the recommended plan came back at 10 GB shared usage (?!?) and the unlimited talk and text for a grand total of $270 a month.  That's a deal?  Smiley Sad

Even adding my daughter's phone (a basic phone) to our plan, giving us 6 lines and reducing our data to 4 GB (my BB uses very little, and 4 GB on the iPhone is sufficient for the other daughter, 2 GB is a bit restrictive when she doesn't have the wifi access) it's still $270.  I was hoping to SAVE a few dollars by sharing data, but our cost is going up in exchange for unlimited talk minutes that we really don't need.  ::::sigh::::

The fact that you can have up to 10 devices (phones even!) will please those who currently have two plans to accommodate more than 5 lines - it may be cost effective for them to combine into one plan.

When it comes time to upgrade one of our phones, are we going to have to choose one of these "share everything" plans?  Or can we keep our current minute allowance and individual data per line?  answered this as I was writing ... thanks!

This is horrible and Verizon has virtually guaranteed that I'll be going elsewhere when my contract is up.  As a single user with one smartphone, I'll end up paying at least $15 more than I am now and $25 more to get an adequate amount of data.  For this, I would lose the unlimited data plan I find immensely valuable and gain unlimited talk and text which would be almost completely useless for me.  Let's not forget the new $30.00 fee I'd get to pay for the privilege of being able to upgrade/renew my contract.

I'm not really sure there's anything that Verizon has missed doing in making this prospect as unpalatable as possible.

Why as a single user with one smartphone are you even considering a SHARED Plan?  Shared plans by definition are for family plans and multiple users and multiple phones.

Just keep your existing plan (at least price-wise)

This is a joke.  I have 4 phones, 2 smart and 2 basic with unlimited data grandfathered in.  I currently pay $185 a month.  If I switch to the 4GB plan I pay about $230. How does this help any customer at all?  It doesn't.  It lines the pockets of Verizon.  I am going to be switching to Sprint unless this crap is fixed before it goes live.  This is a ridicules.

If there was one thing I would add to the share plan is that if you are using an Android device that all traffic going to Google's servers should not be counted towards your data "quota".  In using an Android device, it is a "requirement" to connect your phone to and sync with Google's servers.  Therefore, I feel that traffic is a part of using the phone and should be a "cost of doing business" for Verizon.

Also people should be allowed to "roll over" unused data usage from month to month.

My line is up on verizon on july 7th.  I wont accept 2gb, and there is no way in hell im signing a 2 yr contract on the share plan.  Is there any way to get out of the contract on the other two lines?  Its pure breach of contract in my eyes lose the subsidy of the "new every two," or be forced onto this crap is staying close to the agreement I made with them years ago.  Sprint is looking better and better...not to mention all the work they have planned on the 4g roll out.  Lets see...1500 minutes and unlimited talk and data for 170...that sounds perfect compared to this abortion.  Talk about an epic fail, hopefully people start walking away and big red opens its eyes a bit.  How many users are there on big red?  When is enough enough?

How can I walk away from my contract?  Not paying 700+ for a phone (i signed up for the new every two for a reason), not taking the 2gb tiered offer in swap for unlimited, and will not sign up for the plan described today.  I hope shammo chokes on a hotdog.
