Got this text (below) from my local county government, but multiple counties and cities affected including Fairfax, Prince Wiliam, Arlington, Alexandria, and Loudoun.
Since initially reported four hours ago, any idea the cause and when will be fixed?

Verizon Wireless is experiencing an outage affecting 9-1-1 and ten digit dialing. Fairfax County residents can text 9-1-1 from a Verizon phone as an alternate.
That issue was reported to be fixed over 4 hours ago Verizon Wireless 911 problems in Northern Va. now resolved – WTOP
