Verizon does not value it's existing customers

After being a subscriber continuously since 1991 (Pre-Merger), it has become increasingly apparent that Verizon does not value it's existing customers. In order to get any deal on anything, you must either add a line or be a new customer. There is no value or discounts whatsoever on devices or plans if you are already a Verizon subscriber. The Verizon Up program is a JOKE! Device dollars, really? They are more than happy to take your monthly payment, we have 6 lines but they could care less about customer loyalty or retention. It used to be that you would put up with the expensive pricing and terrible customer service because the coverage was superior to every one else but that argument is no longer valid. With the T Mobile/Sprint merger and other service providers upgrading their networks, they are all about the same at this point

We've also been long standing Verizon customers (though I don't think we go back to 91) and we are now looking at switching also.  We had 4 phones that needed upgrading.  We wound up buying an SE outright at walmart because it was half the price of Verizon's offer.  But we need to upgrade 3 more.  We saw the two s10e's at $5 a month and an iphone XR at 5 or 10 so we tried to upgrade.  Nope, only for new customers.  Unfortunately it looks like we will have to look into ATT and Tmobile and play the old game we used to have to play with television, 2 years here, then switch companies since my current company doesn't value my autopayment every month.
