What Will Verizon Do For Me To Switch Back?
kristyncarroll13

I made the biggest mistake about two months ago to switch to Sprint for the cut your bill in half plan. I was just looking to save a couple bucks. Come to find out that their coverage sucks in my city and everywhere else I spend my time. I have a huge bill to pay off with Verizon that I'm already taking care of but I just want to know if Verizon can offer me anything to get me back as a customer. Right now I'm thinking about coming back or going to AT&T. Please let me know if anyone can help me with my huge bill or give me a special deal to return. Thanks!

Wait.  You went to Sprint to save a few bucks BEFORE checking their coverage in your area.  You typically can return within 30 days to Verizon to resume your contract and avoid ETFs.  Why would they want to "win you back" when you left them and they already get their ETF?  What about Sprint's ETF?  Sounds like you need a new Verizon phone now too, so I bet they offer you a new contract with reduced priced phone or Edge.  Sounds like a pretty expensive way to save a few bucks.

It's unlikely Verizon is going to give you a deal or forgive the previous bill. They probably won't even open an account without that balance paid, and possibly even then want a deposit. If you decide to go with AT&T, do yourself a favor and check their coverage map, maybe even read some reviews of their service in your area. An informed customer is usually a happier customer.

The grass was not greener.   This was all predictable and preventable.  With balance due, Verizon wil not give you any special deals to come back.

They will offer you the service you know and have come to expect, something not all carriers(i.e. Sprint) who claim will save you money can obviously do. When you have the coverage, you don't normally have to entice people to join.Smiley Happy

For MANY people, that is offer enough.

You were saving a couple of bucks on service you can't use, just as many on these forums warn can happen when considering changing. Not such a good deal???? People say "but it is the principle", I say if I want to save money on service for a phone I can't use, I will keep the Verizon phone, cancel service, have no monthly bill AND no service. Kind of like having Sprint, except a bit cheaper!
