I would like to purchase a SIM card while in Korea, so I can still use my phone and its apps (though I will use wi-fi as well). I need to be able to call and hopefully text people in Korea. I heard that our phones are Global capable, but I'm wondering if I can take the SIM out in the Droid Razr Maxx and replace it with a Korean SIM. I heard rumors that our phones cannot have the SIM removed. I also do not know anything about the International Plan, but assume it is expensive. I would like to use my phone if possible, so I don't have to rent or buy another and carry two around. Thank you!
Also, I am assuming I should call Verizon before I leave just to let them know I am leaving the country.
