I get a handful of calls from real people each month.
I get an average of more than 5 robocalls a day.
Verizon wants me to pay them to be able to automatically block them.
For what I pay them each month, this should be a free service.
God I HATE this company.

There are other options including free ones available.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Verizon is not in the business to block calls. They are a phone company in the business of connecting calls. If YOU want calls to be blocked it costs them money to provide this additional optional feature. YOU are being asked to pay for it so that people like me who don't want calls to my mobile number blocked don't have to bear the cost of something that YOU want by way of higher rate plan prices.
That is why YOU have to pay for it.
