Why are you throttling my unlimited data plan?I have been paying for unlimited for a long time and it is not abiding within the FCC laws!

I am a longtime client of yours,I have been faithful, and you thank me for this by throttling my phone? The FCC rules state you can not do this.I paid for it and I expect you to keep up your end of the deal,if you didn't mean it than you should have not said "unlimited for life"!Each time you throttle me you are stealing from me and lying....This is not a way to treat a loyal client that you are about to lose!paying in the excess of $150 a month for one line for as long as I have not to mention what your throttling is doing to my phones inability to hold a charge (making my lifeline for help in any emergency compromised) should be grounds alone for extreme restitution.Bottomline_I paid for it,you are breaking the law by not keeping your word, and YOU VERIZON NEED TO STOP!

You are not being throttled. Slow speeds do not mean you are being throttled.

How do you know there not doing it.  Oh yeah, they said there not and were just supposed to take their word.

Today, I was trying to watch Hulu and my video kept buffering.  I'm using a brand new Galaxy Note 4, so I know its not the phone.

I also checked the downstream connection with the FCC speed test and Speedtest.net App.  Both times I had downstreams speeds of over 25 Mbps.  Yet my video buffered.

I called Verizon and they could not give me a straight answer.  I openly asked them if they were prioritizing and optimizing network traffic (i.e. streaming video) and the rep evaded the question.

A) because they would have to have a clear policy or the FCC would be on their behinds.

B) Hulu is video so der when a lot of people watch video it uses up most of the network.

C) If your speed test didn't show slow speeds guess what you weren't throttled. Ever think it's an issue on HULU's end?

Those speedtests can't always be trusted. T-Mobile has recently gotten in trouble with the FCC for allowing speedtest apps priority over other data to misrepresent the speed their customers are getting.

So simply because those apps showed fast speeds does not necessarily mean anything.

Regardless, as has been stated, if those speedtests show that you AREN'T being throttled, why would you think you ARE being throttled???

I know it's not on Hulu's end because I have also experienced it on Netflix & YouTube.   I would say it's my phone, but I have a brand new Note 4.

Until the FCC resets the Net Neutrality rules that Verizon & ATT tore down in court, this will most likely continue.

Actually it could mean it's the phone still. It could also mean a server near you which is transferring all that data is having trouble delivering said data. You have to remember the internet is a whole bunch of networks of subnetworks. I don't have trouble with any of those apps. My wife last month used 70 GB and she hasn't complained about slow speeds.  She would be very vocal if she doesn't get her sitcom fix. AT&T and Verizon didn't tear down net neutrality. The people did. People cry about it but are unwilling to put money where their mouth is. They'd rather have the government hold their hands and then later complain about what the government hasn't done or complain they spend too much.  A lot of this stuff could be fixed, but everyone is so attached to a luxury they can't do without for a short time to make a point.

The people had nothing to do with Net Neutraility.  Verizon wanted to be able to bar or limit bandwidth using network traffic, so they sued.  Verizon got their day in court and won the day.  Now Verizon can do whatever they want until the FCC rewrites weakened rules to appease the judicial system.  Verizon Wins Net Neutrality Court Ruling Against FCC - Bloomberg

The courts should have never got involved, but every so often you find an activist judge that wants to make headlines and a name for themselves.  This judge can crow and say proudly that I brought down Net Neutrality.  Hooray for me!

The people need to get involved now.  I got involved.  I posted a public comment on the FCC website in defense of Net Neutrality against what Verizon did and what I felt needed to be done to correct the issue at hand.

They are throttling my UDP plan as well starting as of last night from 5pm-6am. Today as of the same time frames.

Speed tests both with apps, web sites, will be completely random. At first they work from anywhere 5-15mb down and 5-10mb up. So I start watching Netflix, Amazon Instant, or Twitch TV. After 5 minutes it completely stops working.

I do a test again and the download is .007, multiple times but the upload is still around 5.

I have tested different devices and posted on other forums. It seems lots of people are getting this problem now. I thought Verizon canceled their throttling per FCC? Maybe they did cancel the network optimization but they are doing something else. I highly doubt that from midnight until 6am the networks are conjested. It doesn't explain a .007 or anything that slow of a download speed.

Verizon is a dirty company.

This is off the topic but I have a question about your "unlimited lifetime". I currently have unlimited data on our 3 lines but was told this evening if I upgrade any of the lines I will lose the unlimited data, have you experienced this?

I asked why I'm losing it since I was grandfathered in and they said because they have done away with the unlimited plans. Can they do this?

Thanks
