I need email customer support, but it doesn't seem to exist. Tried to chat with someone online, but was told that all agents were busy with no option to wait. I would like to lodge a complaint. I have been with this company for about 15 years, and have always had great customer service until recently. I somehow missed my bill in the Christmas rush last month, and someone from Verizon called my cell and demanded payment immediately. EXCUSE ME???? I missed one lousy bill in all this time and instead of calling with a gentle reminder (I honestly had no idea I missed it), they have called me two times in 24 hours to harass me over $60 lousy dollars.I will pay my bill, as I always have, and Verizon can kindly wait for that payment when I get to it. Customer service is far more important to me than the amount of my bill, and if I need to go elsewhere to be treated like a decent regular-bill-paying-client, I will.
There isn't an email address.
For payment arrangements, contact the Financial Services department of Verizon Wireless.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
If you miss your payment with any cell phone carrier. you will get those calls. You agreed to that in your contract, when you agreed to pay your bill on time.
They need to make their money. At least they didn't just cut your phone off.
15 years of paying a bill that is due on the same day every month with 15 Christmas rushes? So you forgot. Instead of complaining pay it and move on. I legitimately forgot to pay my bill before I fell asleep one day (was exhausted from my job of hearing customer complaints all day). I paid it the very next morning but did not complain about the $5 late fee that was charged on my next bill. Maybe set up a calendar reminder or even automatic payment and that way you can't forget to pay it.
Yeah, I appreciate the helpful comments and enjoy the snide ones, but it doesn't speak to the purpose of my original post. I was hoping to lodge my complaint personally with the customer service department, but apparently there is not a way to do that via email. I have no problem with being contacted about the payment, and I know where to go to pay my bill. I really had no idea that I missed it, I do however have a problem with how rude they were to on the phone and that fact that they called me two times in one day. Unless you are an employee from Verizon, there really is no point for you to read and comment here. It appears if I need "customer service", then I need to call them directly.
Verizon may have a messed up Chain of Command, that violate any known proper "Unity of Command" and "Span of Control". Yet I believe that you might be able to email individual(s) very high in the Chain of Command. Do not worry about the ones low in the Chain of Command, because there is not any known way of emailing them. Just go for what makes up the head of the snake. And I wish you the best of luck.
It is not even about "snide" remarks. Everyone pays a bill. We are just surprised how you think that 15 years means you can miss a payment even once. It blows up my brain when people think that they should be treated specially. Whatever your reason for missing the payment, VZW has every right to try to collect it. Once your bill is not paid you account goes into the queue of the automatic dialer and calls you. The funny thing is that VZW sends an email and a text message reminder of your bill. Plus you have 5 days after the due date to pay before it gets a late fee. Then they won't call you for maybe a week after that. That's almost 2 whole weeks after it is due. The rudeness you say you experienced may actually only be perceived as you may have been a little mad that you were actually called. I don't know.
People complain about all of these problems with VZW and customer service but I have never experienced it.
