Really! If you don't pay you shouldn't get service until you do. VZW doesn't want you to be without so that's why they call. They really could cut you off if you're not paid by end of business on your due date.

I'm surprised that anyone would be interested in commenting about this at all. It clearly has nothing to do with you. Maybe a sense of righteousness that needs to be shared?

I've always had excellent, beyond expected customer service from Verizon. I was caught off guard by this particular scenario when I clearly forgot to pay my bill. I gladly paid my bill and the late fee, not expecting "special" treatment and not thinking I shouldn't be contacted about the bill. I just would like to be treated like a "customer" and given a simple reminder. I didn't receive any text or email, just two terse phone calls demanding immediate payment.

Sheesh. Some people have too much time on their hands! Back to work folks!

I TOTALLY AGREEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please call me if I miss my bill. I am grateful for that! The person was rude to me and demanded that I provide a credit card number to her over the phone. I told her I would pay online instead. Then she called me back a few hours later saying the same thing.

Hello? Are you even reading what I wrote?????

Did you go online and pay the bill you owe? That would be a problem sloved and it would stop the phone calls.

Also to your comment: "Hello? Are you even reading what I wrote?????" I thought you did not want us to read or comment on your posts.

I read what you wrote. You are mad that you a got a call to pay your past due bill. I can't say if the person was rude or not. Maybe it was only perceived. See, I can take something totally innocent and perceive it as being something completely different. It just depends on the events of the day that led up to to that moment. I can understand why you wouldn't want to give your credit card over the phone to someone whom you did not call. When you miss a payment they have every right to call you to ask for it. Maybe you even perceived my original response as snide when it wasn't meant to be. I was just questioning how you forgot this year when you hadn't for 15 previous years. Then I offered two simple suggestions to help you avoid this situation in the future. Then I gave you an example that happened to me where I forgot to pay my bill. Your perception is that I was somehow being snarky. I wasn't.

You came to a peer to peer forum and didn't expect others to comment? You knew before you posted that you couldn't email and that if you needed to speak with customer support you should have contacted them directly but you still posted. In your original post you even said that "Verizon can kindly wait for that payment when I get to it.".  I didn't want to call you out on this statement but it seems that you feel, at this point, that it can be paid whenever you choose and not when it's requested by VZW. To get a call you would have to have been almost to your next due date. So tell us again what your point was.

I realize this post is six months old now & none of the participants on this thread will probably see my reply.  But I agree with Sara.  Customer loyalty should count for something.  She has 15 yrs with VZW & I had seven yrs of service (just switched to Sprint).  Folks with accts in good-standing (over such a lengthy duration) should warrant some consideration.  In other words, Sara's paying her bill, month in / month out, year in / year out for a decade & a half.  When she suddenly misses a bill (for whatever reason), whomever the CSR rep was, should check out her acct history prior to the call.  I mean, this is just common sense.  If someone contracted for my services for that amount of time & inexplicably missed a month's payment, I'm more curious than worried about the money.  That customer has been spot on for 15 yrs; what happened this month?  Did the customer get in an accident?  Lose his / her job overnight?  But to act like this loyal customer is some shyster who got a cell phone acct on a pretense, just to get some nice phone, & then intentionally not pay the bill, is rude & uncalled for.  Just as rude as both respondents to Sara's post...

Sprmankalel (that's a weird login) & Dad of 2 act like they're shills for Verizon.  The old joke, "How much is 'x' paying you to say that?" surely applies to both of you guys.  More so, with Speelunker (easier than your odd name to type).  You know, VZW doesn't knock anything off of your bill whenever you post a reply which reeks of a**kissing, right?  Dad of 2 likes to use the old defense mechanism of a commenter who gets told that a particular post doesn't warrant his reply; isn't any of his business:  "This is a public forum!  I can say what I want to say."  Technically, Papa Dos, you're right.  None of us can limit your right to butt in to Sara's question with rudeness.  Of course, you can say (sic, write) what you want to.  How can we stop you?  You needed to read between the lines when you came across the OP's question.  She just wondered if anyone had an email for VZW; she wasn't looking for a troll-type, irrelevant insult like yours & SpoogeMaster's...

I wish I'd had been on here back in Jan for the question I need answered tonight.  Cause I would've owned both of you clowns.  Keyboard tough guys is all you are.  Mighty men ragging on a chick.  Pat yourselves on the back...
