I've lived in the same house for over 15 years and the phone signal only got worse (almost non existing inside house) the last couple of months. This wasn't a problem previously. Is there anything that could be done to boost signal without the need to buy an expensive signal booster? Also wonder why Verizon doesn't supplement the cost of the signal booster to help with Verizon's shortfall in delivering quality signal to its customers?
Because Verizon doesn't guarantee connection inside of any structure. This is regardless of what your coverage may been like.
Lots of things change in 15 years. New buildings are erected that can block what may have once been a good signal.
You should look into Advanced Calling and WiFi calling.
Or if you really need to make telephone calls from inside your house, you might want to look into a home line. Remember the telephones we had before mobile phones?
A great deal of things can impact the quality of your service. If something is going on we certainly want to look into it. What signal strength are you showing?

I have the same problem, used to be my outside signal also, but that had
gotten some what better but not at all times, it will still drop even if
I'm in the same spot outside, but inside is a constant poor signal.
