I seem to have great service according to the signal strength indicator on my phone, but the 4g speeds I'm getting are RIDICULOUSLY slow. Web pages seem to freeze they load so slowly. Speedtest shows download speeds of ~1Mb. I have a new galaxy s6, so I can't imagine it's due to the phone's hardware.
Are there any obvious reasons for such slow speeds?

Dajowi,
Seeing tha low of a download speed would have me questioning things as well. Let’s find out more details to see what is going on. What is your zip code in Santa Cruz? Can you please share a screen shot of the speedtest as well?

Hey, thanks for the wicked fast reply! If only my speeds could be that fast . But, serious face.
The zipcode of where I'm at is 95062. And since my phone will sooner mine a bitcoin than send a photo, here's a link to the results Speedtest.net by Ookla - My Results

dajowi,
We want to make sure you are always connected. I know your phone is important to you just like me. Does this occur indoors or out? When did this start for you? Are there any other people having the same issue?

This happens both indoors and out. I walked over to a verizon store to
mention this very issue from my work and the whole time I had severely poor
speeds. This started happening a couple weeks back. The store clerk told me
this has been happening to a lot of customers, even him and that it's most
likely from a recent cell tower position change and that the only thing I
can do is contact support directly. This is pretty absurd that it hasn't
been tested and fixed yet. All affected customers should get a free month
of service at the very least to compensate for the unreliable service we've
been experiencing.

dajowi,
I know this has been an inconvience for you and we want to make sure it is fixed for everyone in that area. Does service improve in other areas? Are you able to make calls, text, and use data?

Yes, speeds improve in other areas of town. I haven't had any issues making
phone calls or sending texts, but I'll get random messages on my screen
that no mobile data is available, while the bars show full 4g signal
strength...

dajowi,
We know your connection is important and needed everyday. I know my data connection is important to me as well. Does this mainly occur indoors? Are others having the same issues?

Yes, it happens more often indoors, but not that much more often. Maybe
60/40, indoor/outdoor.
Yes, from what I heard from the verizon store clerk, I am far from the
first to have come in complaining about crazy slow speeds while showing
nearly full signal strength. If you look through my previous messages,
you'll see I mentioned this earlier. I don't mean to be a dick, but let's
speed up the support process by not asking redundant questions. Once again,
not trying to be a dick, it just seems horribly inefficient use of the
long-winded message process.
Have you heard any similar reports of this happening in the area? I'd like
to think I'm not the only person who paid heed to the clerks advice by
contacting support to more quickly resolve the issue.
