I am beyond frustrated with Verizon. I have been using their services for 10 years.
In April I traded in my old device with the promise of $250 credit for my near perfect iPhone8. I had to contact them multiple times just to get the device trade-in box, finally having to go to the actual Verizon store to get a box. Once sending it in, I hadn't received any word on it and had to contact Verizon again. They confirmed that they received that phone and that I would start seeing it on my next bills. Each month I had to contact them because it was not showing up on my bill. Each time I got the same excuse that it just hasn't gone through yet. Now it is coming up to my August bill and I have spoken to at least 10 representatives, having to explain my situation every single time.
The customer service has been terrible and it just makes me want to buy out of my contract because this is just ridiculous. Why should I have to constantly stress out each month and have to reach out to them over and over again just to not get any results!?
I have read that other people are having this same issue and it is just not right. Does anyone have any advice on this?
Customer service has nothing to do with trade in promotions. Sure it's still Verizon, but it's like going to Walmart for new tires in the electronic section.
Getting those boxes are hit and miss, not the reps fault the system has issues, blame VZW Corp for the tools they give their employees.
hd808, your 10 years cannot be overlooked since you are a valued member of Verizon Wireless. It would be such a sad turn of events to see you go. I can see how talking to 10 representatives and many phone calls can result in you feeling this way. I want to get a jump on this right away to take a deeper look into your promotion issue and provide you a concrete solution once and for all.
