I want ALL data blocked permanently, I want the text message feature temporarily unblocked (enough for say 5 to 10 ring tones) and then I want all text messages to be blocked permanently as well. Will it cost anything extra for me other than the "Pay As You Go" charge for the texts of $1 to $2? Will I need "Usage Controls" purchased or can that all be done for free from the Adminstrator Control Panel?
Thanks!

ok, the account owner did everything (blocked data) but left the text and PIX messages unblocked so i could send my ringtones. Now I can only recieve/send text messages but cannot send a small mp3 ringtone by email (or any other manner for that matter) to my phone...my question now is, does Data have to be unblocked in order for the PIX messages to even work? Will this use data charges in addition to the PIX message charge? I have also reinstalled the battery. I have a KIN ONEm and I need to use new ringtones because these can barely be heard and are way too teenish for my tastes but the account owner wants NO data charges.
Thanks!

To fully block texting and data is free, but you have to make the request through Customer Service.
I would recommend purchasing and saving your ringtones (which will cost you the per text fee for a pix/flix message - since it has a file attached), and then dial *611 from your phone to set up the texting and data blocks.

If it's not going to your phone, then likely the owner has the TOTAL ACCESS block, which will allow regular text but WILL block picture/video/sound messages. They can allow those and it will not charge data unless you hit Get It Now or Media center and try to connect......

The ringtone has to be 30 seconds or less when you send it or the phone can't handle it. Mary
