i have a question. can i upgrade a prepaid phone to get a different phone?
You can purchase another prepaid phone and call pre-paid customer service (888-294-6804) to have it activated with your current number and have your balance transferred.
With pre-paid, you will pay full price for the phone, wherever you decide to get it, as there is no "upgrade" discount like there is with contract plans. You simply use the phone and buy another outright when it dies or you want a different one. There may be phones you can get on eBay or through friends that will work on pre-paid that will be less than in a store....shop around.
If you are wanting to buy a pre-paid phone to upgrade your post-paid account phone, that you can not do.
The prepaid phone must be active for 6 months as a prepaid phone before it can be converted to postpaid.
