my daughter is in camp for the summer and her phone broke. I sent her a new cell phone, but she is unable to activate it. she called customer service & they told her the phone can't be activated because she is roaming. does this mean she won't be able to use her phone until she returns home? Is there some way to resolve this?

Ok, no one else bit on this...due to the "nature" of the questions. So I'll humor myself. Cust svc said she can't activate the phone because she is roaming. So, logically, no, an inactivated phone cannot be used. A way to resolve it? Yes, you're in luck! It can be resolved. Have her go to an area where she is not roaming, and, OMG! The phone can be activated! Wow! Maybe travel up to her camp, take the phone to a coverage area, activate it, and take it back to her. Problem solved.
