ive dnlded rhapsody, formatted the disk, everything under the sun i can think of. it reads the music on the computer but not when i put the card into my phone. ive tried the option for the phone to scan sd card for new music and it wont do anything after that.

What's the pathing you have for the music on the card? Do you have nested folders for you music, i.e. Artist/Album folders? If so, you need to delete them. All your .mp3 files need to be in the my_music directory of the card. So your music should read D:\my_music\Song.mp3.
If you have D:\my_music\Artist\Song.mp3 then the phone can't read it.
you can only transfer music to a sd card using a usb/usb-b cable
