both of our iphones are having intermittent problems in our area only in the last week. They show poor 1 dot signal and we can barely be hear if a call does go through. Area code 93560. Can local reception be affected by bad equipment? We have never had issues before on either phone

A change in service would definitely raise questions for anyone and we want to ensure that you stay connected. We're not seeing any current alerts or other reports in the area at this time. And yes, a damaged or defective phone could cause service issues. However, you mentioned that both devices are experiencing difficulty. To be certain, are you experiencing issues with calling, messaging, internet access, or all of the above? When did you first notice the issues?
