One of my cell phones started showing "service disabled" on the screen.

What is the possible cause of that message?  the phone is an LG lancet.

We never want your phone to be disabled, Ecoke0011. Let’s make sure your phone is up and running as it should. How long have you had this trouble? Is the device software up to date? What signal is showing on the phone?

There's a circle with a slash where the Gs should be displayed. And a message that flashes between "No Service" and "Service is disabled."
