trying to get help

live in knoxville tennesse.  phone says searching for service.   has for over an hour.  don't have home phone to call customer service.  can't find anywhere on here to get help.  does anyone know anything about an outage?

You can always contact customer care by email too. Although that takes longer. Maybe a Verizon employee will see this thread & post something later on

There is a confirmed outage for the 423/865 area. I double-checked this by contacting emergency customer support and they acknowledged there is a service upgrade being performed in the area.  There is no set time for service restoration, however they believe it will be completed very soon.

I do apologize for the inconvenience. Just to confirm what JoshuaGoode said this is a known issue. At this time we have technicians out working to resolve the issue. Right now there is no set time for services to be restored. Hope this helps!
