I have been getting these error messages when I try to send or receive email from an email program. I have tried Windows Live email, Thunderbird, and Outlook...I even tried to get my verizon mail through my gmail account and none work.
I have a sub account on my verizon email and that one works fine...I have compared the settings a million times..all are identical. I tried deleting the account and setting it up again. I have also tried another computer to rule out a virus.
I can get my email using webmail so I know my password is correct.
I could really use some help with this. Thanks

Your talking to peers here.
- So the first things we would need to know are that you are using the latest EMAILSettings.
- If you are a verizon/yahoo email users. They are now requiring that you use userid@verizon.net instead of just userid for verizon/yahoo users.
- If you are using a verizon connection or some other ISP.
- If you are connecting from outside the us (Verizon shut down almost all foreign access UNTIL a customer contacts them and ask for it to be Whitelisted. Occurred after lots of foreign access attempts locked out lots of customers). Note unlikely to be your problem given the error codes.
If you think you are doing everything right we would probably need to see most of your settings (screen shots or text capture), minus confidential info (userid, password, etc)

it's not a settings issue. I have a sub account with the exact configuration as my primary account and only the primary account is having issues.
I guess I am limited to webmail only....
