Verizon blocks access to Verizon e-Mail accounts from most all IP addresses outside the United States. I found that out, much to my surprise on recent trip to Europe.
I'm told by Verizon chap person that IP address block is true whether one gets e-Mails on smart cell telephone or seeks to access Verizon WebMail directly over a local WiFi connecton. The chat person says I can apply to "technical support" to have the block removed from a specific non-USA IP address. Is there anyone out there that has successfully gotten Verizon to remove a block on a non-USA IP address?

I submitted a form for my laptop and iPhone when I was in Mexico last month and never heard back - now I'm in Asia and I can get email on my iPhone using cellular data with my Global plan but noting on WiFi. I have both Verizon wireless and FiOS but If Verizon can not fix this I'm going to be in the market for a new service providers.

Yes many have gotten approved, but its not fast. Works best for those getting a fixed or limited range of IP addresses for a location.
