So I am having trouble receiving AND sending email from my android phone when I am connected to any wifi other than my own.
I have FIOS internet and cable and also Verizon wireless as my cell provider. Every time I want to check my email when I am at work, a coffee shop, my brother's etc, I have to turn the wifi off on my phone, check my email and then turn it back on.
Why is that? I don't feel like this should be happening.
I'm pretty sure I'm using the correct setup:
Incoming Server: pop.verizon.net
Security: SSL/TLS (always)
Authentication: Plain
Port::995
Outgoing Server: smtp.verizon.net
Security: SSL/TLS (always)
Authentication: Login
Require Sign in
Port 465
I have tried changing security settings etc but when I do that my k-9 email says it can't connect to the server.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I can receive and send my email fine when I am connected to the verizon wireless network and when I am home and connected to my own wifi. It is when I'm on others that I can't do either.
