Can't delete emails when I use internet explorer

I follow the instructions to delete my unwanted emails when using internet explorer and nothing happens but if I sign in using another browser(firefox) and do the same thing the emails are deleted.  Is anyone else having this problem when trying to delete their emails when using internet explorer?
