I have to forward them to my Outlook Express account to read them.
What happens that causes you not to be able to read them? What browser are you using? Are you getting an error? What is the URL you are using to attempt to view your email via webmail?
Have you tried using a differnet browser for Verizon webmail? (Such as FireFox? ) Do you get an error when you try to open email now on the site?
If no error it can not hurt to cleared all stored files - Internet options- General - Browsing History- delete - (then select all except forms data and passwords)- delete
