So, went to set up my verizon email account on a new computer and came to the site to look at the setup tutorial only to see that settings have changed. Came to the forums and everyone is talking about "the email" from verizon telling us about the needed changes to our email settings.
I never received an email from Verizon. In fact, I haven't heard a word from Verizon in years other than a monthly bill in the mail. I'm not sure why...I checked my profile and do not see any where that I have opted out of account/important email updates from Verizon. I will contact them about that but in the meantime, is it just the ports that are changing?
I see it's now: incoming server is pop.verizon.net -- port 995 and outgoing server is smtp.verizon.net --port 465
Is there anything else on that email that I need to know about. I saw some people asking about router changes??
Thanks!

SSL needs to be enabled.
Depending on your email application, you may need to turn off Secure Password Authentication and, if applicable, make sure your Authentication method is set to “Password” or “Normal password.” In addition, you may need to restart your device for these new settings to take effect and for your email to continue working properly. In Thunderbird Normal Password is a must.
You should not have to make any router changes unless port 995 or 465 is blocked.
