Email service flagging spam filters need adjustment

So on my Verizon email I receive a confirmation email from a car rental company for my upcoming trip.  I try to forward this confirmation email to my work email.  Verizon won't send the email, says it has been flagged as spam.  On another note, I forward an email from my work account to my Verizon account, again a trip confirmation. Verizon rejects it as spam. Try once more and besides rejecting the email it whitelists the email relay ip address here at work as an originator of spam.  Time to move my email to one of the many free web accounts.  Actually getting to the point that other than internet access, why do I need any other cable service.
