For the past few days, I've been unable to stay signed into my email. I must go through the entire log in procedure EVERY TIME. Anyone else with this problem?

Yes, and I put this in the email forum and Lawernce moved it to General Residential for more exposure, but no one has answered it yet so I sent a private message to an administrator on the forum who has helped before.
Below is what meessage I sent:
Sign In for 2 Weeks Not Workt
06-11-2016 12:13 PM
Today my sign in for 2 weeks is not working, This happened after I deleted history on both my IE11 browser and my Microsoft Edge browser. I deleted history before doing a Norton full system scan, which I do once a week. So I usually have to sign in after one week as I delete history before each full system scan. I do like staying signed in for at least one week.
I'm wondering if the recent change to the My Verizon page has anything to do with the the stay signed in not working, and if more people will be affected when their 2 weeks of stayimg in expires.
PS: I do like the change to the My Verizon page with the checking your internet speed and information about your wi fi password etc.

Hi Myla:
Here is what I do when I first start up for the day
Log in from my Identity Safe which part of Norton 360 and where all my key logins are stored
https://mail.verizon.com/webmail/driver?nimlet=showmessages&view=emails#mail_Emails_INBOX
Using my default Chrome Browser
Minimize the screen when not in use
When I want to check on email later
RELOAD this page works for me

This seems to be an ongoing problem that rears it's ugly head a few times a year. I wish it would be fixed once and for all.

I believe I haven't had this problem before, and if I did but can't recall not often. Perhaps when this problem existed before my 2 weeks was not up and it will only happen after your 2 weeks are up. The problem could have been fixed before my 2 weeks were up. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

I discovered that if I sign into the forums, I stay signed in all day on my email. Not the perfect solution but I only have to do it the first time that I sign in.

I've been having the problem for at least 2-3 weeks. I use Norton Security. At least once a week I delete all of my temporary internet files and do a full system scan, but that shouldn't keep Verizon email from keeping me signed in. This happened last year and took a while to fix and then miraculously the problem didn't happen. So, not sure why it's resurfaced. Since Verizon is supposed to be number one, I'm still surprised at the poor quality of its email webpage performance and the way it's set up to begin with. As much as I hate Yahoo, which I have through ATT, there are some pluses for that program.
Bottom Line: PLEASE FIX THE D**N PROGRAM SO IT KEEPS ME LOGGED IN. NOT ROCKET SCIENCE.

Congratulations Holly for bringing up the subject without receiving an angry inappropriate response blaming the paying customers. If my past research and consumer complaints haven't been deleted, you may have seen my sincere complaints on this for years.
When I called tech support on this --ALL DAY -- I was eventually told to stop using Firefox or else it was my fault, because the code writers, who may be outsourced contractors in India, test their software on Internet Explorer. I pay for my server & should be the sole judge of the browser choice. When Vz really lost control was 1 or 2 years ago when they "up(down)graded security" & created the 3-PAGE log-in, with NO opt-out, and also forced a larger minimum password.
I briefly got a 3rd-party browser app' to fill in all the sign-in fields, but it always fails after a couple days. I give up. They don't care enough to fix software bugz even if we identify them for Vz & do their R&D for them for free, in the field. They don't think they can afford to write code that's competitive with 10 year old equivalents at Google, Yahoo & Microsoft Hotmail/Outlook. Verizon just can't do it! They refuse to rise to the occasion. Their philosophy is do your R & D in the field; make more money -- then ignore the findings. It's so very sad.
And WHY have they decided they want to get rid of Verizon.net, after their most long-term and faithful customers have every contact they ever made in their lives on verizon.net? Why Why WHY?
I once wrote to the CEO - he didn't care, either; probably uses G-Mail! I can't comprehend how a large company sees no connection between customers, customer service and the paycheck they receive. Such is the case with Verizon. A legacy from the old pre-1984 monopoly. Lily Tomlin's satire of 50 years ago still lives: "We're the phone company. We don't HAVE to care!" Only now that there are other media & services, they STILL don't care.

I used the Verizon Security Scan Mcafee to clean up my history and I always have to sign in afterwards and answer the security question. Once I do this I can stay signed into my my VERIZON for weeks. But after the clean up around June 19th I have been unable to use the Stay Signed In option. I can use the Remember Me option. But I still have to answer the security question.
HOPE IT GETS FIXED SOON: Chris

What browser are you using as it is working on my Windows 10 IE11 and the Microsoft Edge browser that comes with Windows 10? My sister is using the Google Chrome browser and hers is working correctly. It started working again for us on June 30th.

Even after logging in and checking "Keep Me Logged On", I am still having to re-log on each time I simply want to check my email. This problem happened once before a couple of years ago and I thought that it was a problem with my computer or perhaps a virus. After a lot of calls to verizon customer service with a general reaction to my complaint that it must be a user error, I finally talked to a supervisor who said the problem was with a verizon update that was causing the problem and they were trying to get it fixed. After a few days, the "Keep Me Logged On" feature (box when checked) started working again and I didn't have to log in 10 times a day just to check emails. Although not troublesome, i sometimes have to log back in if I haven't accessed my email account for a few days. I would call verizon to complain, but I'm sure they are recieving many complaints and this glitch will be repaired soon.

I remember when that happened Rc9111 and it seems to be a problem again. It seems that there are glitches in Verizon email quite often.

As of 12:00 p.m today (6/16/16) my "stay signed in" is no longer working. Worked fine this morning, and I didn't do a single thing to mess it up. Come on Verizon. When are you going to fix this permanently? Please don't tell me not using " @verizon.net" for my email will solve the problem. I haven't a clue how to change to something else. Does anyone know how to fix this?

My sister's computer says Sign In after her 2 weeks staying signed in was over. However, now she can click on Sign In with her User ID blank and password blank, and she gets signed in. That's real security for you. That doesn't happen to my computer using IE11 and Microsoft Edge browsers.
She's using Google Chrome.
I did notice the My Verizon page has been changed again since last week as far as getting your Wi Fi password. Oh brother, why don't they start working on the basics and stop changing other stuff that can be gotten by the way of the TV. Every time they make a change they stop something else from working. I'm getting fed up!!!!!!!!!

My Microsoft Edge browser is now doing the same thing as my sister's Google Chrome browser. See the above message from me. However, on the same computer the IE11 browser is not signing in with no information (ID, password).
Holly
PS They must be working on it and have really messed up. I tried signing out on the IE11 browser, and when you do sign out you get a page about Verizon residential, business and wireless.

Hello Holly1
Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you.
Please go to your profile page here on the forum, and look in the middle, right at the top where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
Under “My Support Cases” you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. This should be checked on a frequent basis as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions.
To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe".
Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.

Yesterday 6/21/16 my verizon.net started not allowing me to remain "signed in" even when I requested "keep me signed in". This has worked beautifully for a long time--every several months it would require me to re-sign in but now if I close my mail or shut down the computer, I have to go through the sign in process even when "keep me signed in" is checked. Why this problem--it is an inconvenience I don't like!

Can Verizon do anything more to annoy their customer base. Once again, the wonderful techs are unable to solve the problem of allowing a customer to remain signed in for an extended period. Maybe an employee gets a commision everytime a custmer logs into their email.

I was thinking the same thing damifino. It's a reoccuring problem and a pain. Maybe they should hire a few 15 year old kids to fix the problem.
