Emails disappear from the server

I have a home computer on which I download emails.  When I download messages, they are removed from the server.  Standard.  I usually do this early in the morning, and after work.

During the day, my emails go to my smartphone (Verizon) and to my husband's computer.  In both cases, messages are left on the server, and I download (and print if necessary) later.

Usually, that works just fine.  But every once in a while, emails either don't go to my smartphone, or aren't even downloaded to my computer.  The last time it happened, there were some important attachments, that fortunately I could get from my husband's computer.  I don't remember if the earlier instances involved attachments.

But when I downloaded messages last night, I got the ones before and after that one, but not that specific one.  I've had people tell me all the time, "I sent you an email about that," but it didn't go to my smartphone or to my home computer.

Anyone know what's going on?

That indicates that the issue is something on your husband's computer. If it's downloading the messages and they're not staying on the server, then it's pulling them off for some reason.
