Forwarding an e-mail I received

My son sent me an e-mail. I'm trying to forward it to my daughter. When I choose "forward" and put in her e-mail address, the text of the message disappears. What am I doing wrong? Where did the message go????

What email program are you using? (Outlook,Outlook Express, Eudora, ??)...

When I try to forward, IE8-OE  cuts me off with error message:
