Attempting to set up my standby power generator to be able to send email over my Verizon account. I can see and manipulate this networked device over my wireless home network since it has a MAC address and IP. The generator also has the capability to send an email when something about it changes; however, I have not been able to get this to work. I have tried all of the SMTP Outgoing mail nomenclature I have found on the Verizon sites, including the info that is presently working on my iPad on the same network. I have also tried changing ports to 110 and 465. Can anyone tell me if there is something I'm missing?
