When that change is made, will all of my email and contacts still be available or do I risk losing everything? It would be devastating for me if I lost my data. Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks

Please the third reply here http://forums.verizon.com/t5/Verizon-net-Email/Is-it-possible-to-switch-from-Verizon-Yahoo-email-acc...
Also if you type switch from yahoo to verizon in the ask the community box at the top of this page there are many threads about this. Bottom line you will not lose any data if you backup before switching

I contacted Verizon Tier 2 Support and the tech explained to me that when the switch is made, all email and contacts will be lost to the new Verizon netmail. That is not what I wanted to hear. He told me that he would help me configure Outlook so that it could receive my already received email from the Yahoo server but that my Verizon email experience would not be able to receive that email unless I sent every piece of mail to myself after the change away from yahoo is made. Is that true?
I am finding that different techs provide different information. The first person I spoke with said that with the switch to Verizon email, nothing would be lost. The second person said that was completely untrue. It's very disheartening to depend on a vendor and find that their trained employees cannot provide consistent and accurate information.
I am looking for someone out there to provide the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
