At one point during the verizon.net to AOL migration I am asked for a mobile phone number so that I can receive a code. Is there any way I can do this without revealing my cell number? I'm already starting to get spam calls on that number and don't want Verizon to sell my number because I wouldn't put it past them to do that. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is absolutely no need to give them a cell number or any phone number for that matter. It is slower if you don't let them call you. Not sure where you are hung up in your migration.

I'm stuck at "AOL Email Account Verification" where it wants a telephone number that it can text or call me at so that it can send me a code. It will not let me go any further. I do not want to give it a phone number.

Contact them. They have done over the web, or even snail mail for those who don't have cell's or home phones.
